Antonella Finis joined IFRC on December 2018, as Senior officer supporting NSD and other technical topics at the Central America CCST. She has been supporting the IFRC Disaster Risk Management regional program as focal point for Climate Change since January 2020. She also worked briefly in the Zika Regional Appeal as PMER senior officer in 2016. She has a B.S. in Environmental Engineering and a B.S. in Environmental Studies from Florida State University, as well as an MBA with emphasis on Senior Management.
She has more than 9 years of experience working in programs related to development, environmental and humanitarian work. She worked as the WASH Program Manager for U.S. Peace Corps in Panama, and as the Director of Protected Areas, Biodiversity, as well as International Cooperation at the Panamanian Ministry of Environment. Antonella loves all outdoor activities, including sports.
