After completing his degree in International Business, Daniel worked in Colombia during the reconstruction of a region affected by an earthquake. Daniel completed a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work and worked with the Province of Manitoba developing programs for newly arrived refugees. He later joined UNHCR and worked in several operations. In 2016, he was deployed with the Canadian Red Cross (CRC) as the team leader of the ERU in Ecuador and after finishing his latest assignment with UNHCR joined CRC in Panama in January 2018. Daniel worked as a program coordinator until June 2019 and then joined the Disaster and Crisis Unit as a Disaster Management Coordination focused on the hurricane season.
