Evelyn is a Psychologist, Crisis Intervention Specialist and Master's candidate in Interdisciplinary Gender-based Violence Interventions. She has experience in the clinical, social and educational fields of the psychology as well as in violence prevention and mitigation in countries of Central America, South America and the Caribbean. She has background in community-based and psychosocial support interventions, as well as in capacity building of humanitarian institutions with a protection approach. She has worked in different governmental and non-governmental organizations in Colombia, and in the Red Cross Movement she has worked with the Colombian Red Cross and the Canadian Red Cross. In June 2019, she was deployed as a PGI delegate to Mozambique with the Canadian Red Cross ERU and is part of the International Federation's PGI delegate roster. She currently serves as Protection, Gender and Inclusion Senior Officer at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies' Americas Regional Office.
