Krystell brings 15 years of humanitarian experience within international organizations at operational as well as strategic and policy at global, regional and national levels on Disaster Risk Management. Panamanian national, having been youth volunteer of Panama and Colombia Red Cross. Have been supporting programmes in Asia Pacific and currently she works in HQ in Geneva as a Resilience Coordinator focus on Africa and Mena region
Holds a Marketing and Advertisement bachelor as well as two master’s degrees on Project Management and International Affairs with emphasis on International Cooperation.
Her experience includes various positions as an advisor on Disaster Risk Management (with IFRC Regional Office in Panama since 2012), Education and Urban issues, Climate Change and Community Resilience. She has a particular interest in Nature based Solutions and DRR work with communities.
She managed several regional programmes funded by international donors such as European Union, DFID, AECID, private and public sector and was a counterpart for key external agencies of the UN System.
She is a mother of twins and creator of a Resilient Mom Programme designed to empower women and strengthen their resilience.
