Mr. Orlando Jimenez is an agronomist from Cayo District,Belize who holds an Associate Degree in General Agriculture and is fluent in English and Spanish. He has participated in many environmental and rural development forums and worked as an Upland Grain Production Research Technician; Agriculture Extension Officer; A Community Mobilizing and Liaison Officer and a Rural Communities Development Officer. His employment was with NGO’s, Quasi government and Government Organizations such as the Belize Audubon Society, Toledo Research and Development Project, Toledo Research and Extension Department, Community Initiated Agriculture and Rural Development Project, Agriculture Department and Rural Development Department.
Currently he works for the Belize Red Cross as project coordinator forin the Community Resilience Building in the Caribbean Project. He is volunteering with the North American Church of the Reincarnation in the establishment of a Retreat Center for Battered Women, Men and Children.
His favorite past times are: country music, horticulture and visits to nature parks.
