Attorney-at-law who has worked as a legal strategist and policy advisor in the social development sector in Jamaica and other Caribbean territories. She has advised government departments, NGOs and international agencies on the application of law to a range of issues, typically in the fields of governance, disaster law, child protection, human rights and justice administration. She is the disaster law focal point for the Caribbean Region for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and has conducted legislative studies on the regulation and facilitation of international disaster relief goods and services (IDRL Studies) in Jamaica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, Dominica and Belize. As a governance and policy consultant, she has shaped advocacy, policy and programming strategies on comprehensive disaster management - as well as other sustainable development issues - in her home country of Jamaica.
